Placencia is a 17 mile long sandy peninsula dotted with boutique beach resorts, vacation homes, cool restaurants and bars and amazing people. Located in the Stann Creek District, Belize. Casa Palma is located in Placencia Village which is located at the southern tip of the peninsula.

Placencia is a very safe tourist destination in Belize.

BELIZE CITY TO PLACENCIA

Placencia is a 160-mile drive from Belize City.

Although it is possible to get to Placencia by boat, most people travel by land or air.

The drive through the Hummingbird Highway is breath-taking.

BEACHES IN PLACENCIA

Bordered on the west by a lush mangrove-lined lagoon and beach-kissed on the east by the Caribbean Sea, Placencia is renowned for having some of the most beautiful beaches in the country.

THE NAME "PLACENCIA"

The name “Placencia” is a distortion of Punta Placentia, the name the Spaniards gave to the peninsula in the 1800s.


In English, it means Point Pleasant...and it certainly lives up to that name.

BEST TIME TO VISIT PLACENCIA

Visit Placencia during the months of April, May and June you will have perfect weather to swim, dive or snorkel with giant whale sharks at the Gladden Spit Marine Reserve.

Just sit on the beach and relax. Up to you.
